Cockcroach in a Hostel Room

I used to live in a rental apartment building in Montreal and Toronto back in the 80s and you'd see cockroaches when you first move in, but they were tiny tiny tiny, like 1-2mm long. I saw this cockroach lying motionless (dead?) on the floor of my room in a hostel in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. It was as wide as my index finger!

Hot chili pepper flower

I like hot chilli pepper. I've grown Thai Chilli, Scotch Bonnet, and Habanero. This was a flower of the Thai Chilli.

House Fly on a Flower

I blew me away that house flies like flowers, but of course they do right? They like sweet things. This was in the front yard of my parents' place.
